Tupsu: The Furry Little Monster Just Wants to Play

Tupsu: The Furry Little Monster is a fun little cross platform app that is an awesome addition to the app store, and Android marketplace. It will keep you busy and on the edge of your seat with its addicting and amazing game play. This is a little review of this fun little app which will be in the palm of your hand and the memory of your device soon.

First of all, being an artist myself, the graphics are amazing. You can tell they’re based from hand drawings and not simple computer generated, mass produced icons like many apps. This is just the first plus of the game and after the great first impressions it only continues to get better.

It is an odd game in theory. The little monster navigates through these floating island levels with his very sticky eyes. Yes, his eyes. He is a monster and as cute as he is hideous, but that’s why he’s so lovable. He can navigate by walking, climbing and pushing objects to manipulate his environment. Not only can he push objects, but he can carry them along the landscape as well which creates another massive dimension of depth to the game play and strategy. With thirty levels of play this game won’t be one of those you pick up and put down in a long line. It will keep you chugging, and sticking along with Tupsu as he goes on his adventures.

It is worth mentioning that this game is free as well. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there’s nothing better than free. Especially when there’s a cute little three eyed monster involved, free doesn’t get much better. If you’ve ever played World of Goo, or watched a Spiderman cartoon you’ll see where Tupsu probably learned some of the tricks of his trade.

If the game play, graphics and free price weren’t enough to rope you in then the catchy music by purpleplanet.com will surely make you open up that download. It’s a great game with tons of levels and infinite replay value.

It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, No it’s the Speedtest App for Windows Phone 8

The long awaited Speedtest app for accurately testing the upload, download and ping of your device is finally here. No more are the days where you have to wander around unknowingly receiving less than optimum data streams. The Speedtest app has been around for years online. It is a staple in the technology community for its accuracy and dependability for testing the data connections across multiple platforms and devices.

This mobile venue has a very simple idea behind it, but the service and information it provides still stands as the standard for measuring data on a device. This means that it is finally able to hold Windows Phone 8 up to the other devices being measured.

It’s nice to see a measurement of data ability from a carrier network status and not just the wifi which is already basically the same depending on where it is being accessed from. Getting readings from wireless carriers allows the user to actually clock in their data and see if they are receiving the level they should be or not. Many service providers claim high numbers and don’t deliver and up until now it’s been hard to prove on certain devices.

The interface of the Speedtest app leaves almost nothing to be desired. It is clean, polished and works like a charm. Compared to the iOS version and the version available on the Android marketplace, this one offered by Windows seems much smoother and functionally impressive.

Don’t wait any longer and see what your device is capable of getting in data. The best part about this app is that it’s free! Just a simple download from the Windows Phone app store and you’ll be on your way. Get in on this industry standard measurement tool today.

Ctrl+C the Simple Solution to Copying Text on Android

Ever since the inception of the smart phone and the use of texting and mobile browsing has exploded, the text copying methods have left much to be desired. Sharing text excerpts with others has been a harrowing and burdensome path involving tons of frustration. Ctrl+C for Android offers up a great solution to this annoying situation. You’ll no longer just have to explain that funny picture of the dog with sunglasses, the news story about the guy you went to school with, or the awesome new crafting idea. Now you can share the link, text excerpt or full text easily and quickly.

Ctrl+C basically is an app that allows sharing text, link urls, news articles, jokes or any other words you can find in the easiest way possible. There’s usually a few button presses, a slide of the fingers, and maybe even a magic spell involved in editing text on a smart phone. While the touch interface is great for viewing large images and getting the most visual for your buck, sometimes the ability to only have touch controls makes manipulation on a minute detail scale quite cumbersome. This app makes it much more manageable.

The app doesn’t just allow you to take text and copy it. It also fulfills the other end of the job as well. For those familiar with copy and paste commands, the app really could be called Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V. Since it allows you to take text from one location and transition it to any chat window, any email, any text, etc. The options really are endless. It may not seem like a huge deal, but once you use the app you’ll realize how many instances where you wanted to copy text but didn’t because of the annoyance there are. Stop limiting your text sharing on your Android device. Get Ctrl+C to finally show your friend that funny picture, send your mom that link to her online birthday card, and post that crazy news story to your social media site.
