Microsoft Corporation has been working really hard to bring back all of its accepted apps to the Windows Phone platform, until now, Instagram has turned out to be fully indefinable for the Redmond guys. As Microsoft efforts are not doing much excellent here, Nokia considers taking the lead, taking a fresh approach to it. Rather than coming up with a fancy image editor and stating the app to be superior to Instagram, Nokia released #2InstaWithLove.

#2InstaWithLove is an app that provides users with a photo stream of the images using the application. Every image has a hashtag #2InstaWithLove related to it, and can aid Nokia’s grounds by spreading the word on Twitter, Facebook and several other social media portals urging Instagram to come up with an official application itself to the platform.

#2InstaWithLove is well-suited for all such Lumia gadgets that run the Windows Phone Mango version or above and is free to access.

The Top 5 Video Editing Apps for Android

Video editing on your Android device hasn’t been something that most people even think is possible, let alone attempt to do. Now this has all changed as the devices and drivers in handheld devices are becoming more powerful and the cameras and recording quality have been expanding, the need to edit recordings has become a real necessity. Here are the top 5 video editing apps for your Android device.

Magisto: Magical Video Editor ;

Magisto_01

This one is at the top because it involves literally zero editing skills on your part. All you need to do is upload the video you want edited, choose a soundtrack and Magisto does everything else. You’ll end up with a nicely edited and professional looking movie to show off.

Video Editor ;

video_editor

This is much more of a conventional video editing software. This allows for words and titles to be included, projects to be started and selected and even voice over and recording effects. This is the video editor for someone who actually wants control over each edit and how things are cut out or redone.

AndroMedia Video Editor ;

AndroMedia

This is an even more advanced video editing software for your Android device. This will enable most editing capabilities that you can even think of and allow you to fully get the most out of editing a video from uploading the data, to cutting, to remastering and rendering.

Video Converter Android ;

Video_Convertor

This is mainly a cutting tool from what I saw of it. It is a great app and allows you to take out segments and selections from the media at will. It is really only useful for making cuts and converting media types from one format to another. It is very simple and easy to use and sometimes you need to format a video file to edit it in another program which is when this is very useful.

VidTrim ;

VidTrim

Cutting a video is usually what most of us need to do when editing. Those extra few seconds at the end, the beginning before the good part happens, or the part in the middle where it drags on sometimes just needs to be taken out. This is the perfect app when that’s all you need to get done. It’s quick and to the point and allows you to trim your content without any fuss.

Cinemagraph: An Amazing New Picture/Video Animation Tool for Windows Phone

Cinemagraph is a new entry into the world of media creation on your Windows Phone device. If you have ever seen the movies for Harry Potter, or read the books about their magical photographs, that’s all I could think of when tinkering around with this app. The effects created y Cinemagraph are unlike any other service or app I have ever seen. It is truly a unique experience that is worth checking out.

It is almost difficult to describe this app since it is so unique but essentially you can choose a photograph and select an aspect of it to animate. This may sound simple and like it would turn out crudely, but it’s actually quite the opposite. The end result is a very realistic, humorous at times rendition of an animated photograph. It really is an odd combination of movie and photograph but somehow it is endearing and relatable and is more than just fun.

With features that allow the instant sharing of your creation over social media you can create and publish your Cinemagraph instantly. This app works on all Nokia Lumia phones, but was specifically designed for and works best on the 710, 800 and 900 models.

Disqus: The Discussion Forum Now on Windows Phone

Disqus is a great new web forum that allows people to discuss anything and everything in a somewhat organized and meaningful way. It’s a new form of social media that makes it possible for different topics to actually have an audience and discussion on relevant issues. The fact that this is now available on Windows Phone now opens up the community to that many more diverse users and will help boost the traffic and quality of the site as a whole.

If you’re new or completely unfamiliar to Disqus as a service then you should definitely go check it out. The only way I can describe it is as a TED talks online and without a professional just people. The discussions usually end up being somewhat professional and moderated, but of course there are the trolls and people just on there to mess with other people. Overall it is a fascinating service and definitely an up and coming site.

Disqus also allows you to follow friends and see what they are looking at or discussing, write your responses to other questions or comments, and vote on comments to narrow the field of useless or unhelpful discussion. The Windows Phone integration allows for a specified tile to be placed on your launch screens and also have the live updates streamed into them as well creating that much more of an effective interface to stay linked in to the discussions and up to date with whats going on in general or with your friends.

Disqus is a great service and now it is available to Windows Phone users.

FX Studio HD: An Amazing Photo Editing App for iPad

Every once in a while a photo editing app comes along that is actually worth some praise. Most of the editing apps out there today revolve around the same basic filters, overplayed effects, and can essentially be obsoleted by a simple Instagram filter. FX Studio HD, by MacPhun is a very welcome change into this market. They have created what some photo editors out there refer to as the “light room for iPad”.

The thing that sets this app apart from others is not only the interface which is one of the most seamless and easy to use ones out there, but the amount of effects that actually work and create high quality alterations to default pictures is incredible. With over 190 effects, you’d expect a lot of repeat, or somewhat duplicate editing to be going on, but that’s not the case at all. All that crazily high number means is that there are actually that many different effects you can apply to a photo. That feature alone makes this app worth checking out, but there is much more.

The app is not your ordinary run of the mill editing app, this is one that can create effects which are very professional. The ability to create and edit layers, frames and adjust colors also makes this not just an effect filter or lens app.

Once you are finished with your editing you can easily export the image to any source, cloud storage, or social media through a one click share feature. You can also have postcards or photos ordered from the app and shipped anywhere in the world.

The price was just dropped to 1.99 in celebration of the new update so now is the time to jump on this deal. If you have any interest in quality photo editing and image manipulation this is an app you owe to yourself to check out. A novice in editing like me found it incredible and I barely used half of the features to even remotely the extent they were capable of.
