Temple Run Oz: The New Disney Inspired Version of the Classic Game

One of the most popular and famous endless running app games, Temple Run has teamed up with one of the most famous movies of all time to create this new hybrid, “Temple Run: Oz”. In this game the setup is the same as the other two Temple Run games. You run and dodge and escape the shrieking flying baboons while sliding away from being caught. The only difference is that the overall theme of the app is set in the world of Oz.

Although this is basically a remake of Temple Run but with different graphics it is still just as fun as the other versions and if you’re a fan of the new Oz the Great and Powerful movie then you’ll be in heaven with this app. So there’re really not much to review about this app other than announcing it exists. It’s the same basic Temple Run format. The cool features are really just the well drawn new environments that coincide with the Oz movie, the ability to fly in a hot air balloon and earn coins, multiple new scenes, and the weekly challenges specific to this version.

If you’re a fan of these endless running games then check this one out. It’s still just as fun of a game, but with a twist of Oz. You’ll have all of the same addicting pleasure and replay value that every other Temple Run has had.

Skype WiFi: Over 1 Million Pay for Use WiFi Hotspots by Skype Worldwide

When traveling abroad the wireless internet can be spotty and best, and downright frustrating at its worst. Although the world is filled with wireless internet and cell phone towers, tapping into those streams while on the move can be tricky and annoying to actually accomplish. Skype has just simplified this whole process with their worldwide network of wireless internet hotspots.

It comes down to pay for use by minute through Skype credit itself. This eliminates the use of other third party logins and having the hassle of trying to navigate through the systems of wifi or password protected hotspots that are always more trouble than they’re worth.

The integration of this type of worldwide service with Skype, an app that almost everyone has, is the key to the simplicity of the whole concept. Using Skype as the login to access these WiFi spots makes it so much more simple to pay, use, and accomplish tasks quickly and easily.

The price of various hotspots vary with their location, but the price of the particular hotspot you are going to connect to will always have a clearly identified price that you can agree to. If you need to cut down on roaming and outrageous cell prices while traveling abroad or on the go, Skype WiFi is the solution you have been looking for. Able to be installed on any device with WiFi capability, it is as simple as getting the app, logging in, and getting online. There is no fuss, no hidden fee, and no more tricky interfaces to figure out before getting online. SkateDog: The Fun New Game for Windows Phone

There was just a new game released for Windows Phone called SkateDog. The premise is simple, you’re a dog and you skateboard. That’s pretty much it. As simple and random as that sounds it’s actually a lot of fun. It’s pretty addicting and the little dog is adorable to boot. You basically skate around and try to get a hamburger. If you’re hoping for some intense intellectual stimulation you’re not going to get it, but the game is fun and that’s all it’s trying to do. There are also these little speed boosts you can get which enable the dog to jump or fly around the levels which is a nice added little twist.

Overall this app is kind of limited and short, but the game itself is fun to play. It’s definitely worth a download and a test run since it’s free, but it might be one of those apps you beat and then uninstall. I do look forward to any sequels to this app though since it is fun to play and I feel like with some more levels and some more features it really could actually become a viral and popular game.

Take it or leave it, SkateDog is out there if you’re a Windows Phone user. It’s cute, fun, and a great time killer. It’s not going to replace Temple Run or Angry Birds anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth your time to give it a whirl, or a skate. Who can say no to a cute little floppy eared dog on a skateboard with elbow pads and a helmet? I sure couldn’t.

Removing Albums from Your Picasa Gallery: A Step by Step Tutorial

Picasa is a great photo sharing and saving app with a few critical pitfalls. One of the major downsides is that every time you upload a photo using the app it saves it as a separate and new gallery instead of making them all into one uniform gallery. This can get quite old quite fast and create a network of galleries that’s incredibly difficult to manage. Here is a step by step guide on how to manage and delete those pesky albums from your Picasa.

 First:

picasa2

The first step in solving this issue is to cut the sync between the Picasa app and the internet. The best and easiest way to do this is to go into your settings, then your Google accounts. This will open up a window of items showing what can be synced with check boxes next to them if you want them synced or not. Find the one for “Picasa Web Albums” and uncheck the box next to it.

Doing this will not have any ill effects in terms of deleting photos, the ability to upload photos or instant upload with other social media accounts. The only thing this will do is stop the ability of sync to Picasa and the appearance of all of your pictures in these separate galleries.

Next:

picasa3

Although the first step will allow you to not have any new albums created with the sync of Picasa, those crazy amounts of albums you already have will still be there. This means to get rid of them you need to clear the Gallery data. This can be simply done by going to the phone settings, then the application manager, then scroll over to the “gallery” page and hit the “clear data” button.

Last:

The last step in the process is the most simple so the hard part is finished. Not that there really was a hard part, but you get the idea. Simply go to the page where the gallery is on your phone and refresh. When it loads your nightmarish gathering of galleries should be no more! You can finally have a cleaned up, organized version of your photos and find them when you want them.

This was a simple tutorial, but as always any questions can be gladly answered. If you use Picasa you’ve probably encountered this situation before, and if you need to get around it this is the easiest and most effective way.
