EaseUS FileManager App for Windows 8 & Windows RT

Microsoft Corporation has put extensive emphasis on the Modern User-Interface, commonly referred to as the Metro UI, when they launched the Windows 8 operating system, but quite sarcastically did not comprise of a native latest-style file manager in the most recent version of their Windows OS. Perhaps the application giant prefers others to stick fully to the desktop File Explorer when it comes to their file management needs, which in all frankly happens to be relatively cumbersome to make use of on a Windows RT gadget.

Those who consider managing their files without even leaving the Metro environment can opt for third-party apps for file management like Files&Files or Metro Commander from the Windows app store. Presently, there have been several other means stumbled which is simple yet robust Windows 8 file manager known as EaseUS FileManager and merely could not wait to try it. The review is as under:

Supporting a user-friendly and elegant interface, the app enables users to browse through their files in a spontaneous manner implementing the Metro design language. The screen of the app classifies the items into three different sections called as the Common Folder, the Recent and Favorite, all of which is very much clear. The ‘Common Folder’ comprises of user’s Video, Music and Picture folders and offer them with a quick access to such common locations. The app is wise itself as it automatically determines these folders even on the first run. Users can also add other folders to their Favorites manually by making use of the Add Favorite tab that is on the app bar. Users can even start browsing the content of any of their folders by picking the option of ‘Choose a Folder’ tile. All the directories that are being accessed in this way can also be added to the recent Folders list right on the main screen for immediate access later.

Most of the third party file manager applications enable users to easily categorize the items by their type, name, size, date and others. And gratefully, the EaseUS FileManager is no exclusion either. It not only enables users to classify the items, but also let them Pin their frequently accessed or favorite folders or files right to their start screen. All users need to do here is to right click on a file or folder, and then hit the Favorite button available in the app bar will immediately add the directory to the recent or favorite folders that are on the main screen.

Multiple items can also be selected through the right-click mouse button, or implying the tap and hold will work on the RT devices. Once you have picked the items, A manage button will pop up in the application bar, enabling you to perform the required actions such as Cut, Copy, Rename, Move to, Copy to, Delete, and Recycle. Users can also create new directories by clicking over the New Folder button, which is at the bottom right.

As most of the document and media files such as text, video and audio items are opened using the default applications associated with the file extension, photos can be viewed directly in the EaseUS FileManager’s app interface.
EaseUS FileManager happens to be a great addition made available to the Windows app Store’s library. However, it works on Windows RT and Windows 8 only.

The Top 2 Apps for Saving Your Battery on an Android Device

Everyone with a smartphone of some kind or another knows the retched pitfall of owning one, the battery life. No matter how good the battery life claims to be on paper there will almost certainly be a significantly shorter lifespan in the real world with regular use. This horrible reality, which may be more accurately described as a nightmare, is one of the hardest things to combat in the ownership of an Android device. Luckily with the help of two free apps you can harness the power inside of your device and make the battery last as long as possible, and far longer than you thought it was capable of.

Easy Battery Saver :

This app is for everyone. It is simple to use, free, and seriously helps. This app serves one purpose; it will extend the life of your battery by either one of the preset battery conservation modes, or you can create a custom one just for your needs. It allows many settings which are hard to find or difficult to find the settings for all in one easy place. Things such as connecting to mobile data, WiFi, and app closings are all able to be controlled in the app with almost no effort. Even settings control what your phone does and uses while you sleep so you don’t have to wake up to a phone that’s already half dead. It also comes with a tutorial so you can see exactly how to benefit from each and every one of the settings. It can save you almost 50% of your battery if all of the features are maximized effectively.

Easy Task Killer Advanced :

One of the main issues with battery life comes down to the usage of the phone and the way it accesses apps, widgets, and files. Most of the time there are apps running dormant but they are eating up huge chunks of the battery. There is quite an easy solution to this with the Easy Task Killer app. This allows you to simply open a view of every single active app that is being used, check boxes next to them and close the ones you don’t need running out. This is a huge saver of battery since you can legitimately close out every single app you don’t need all at once, and stop a massive amount of needless memory usage.

With these two apps you can have your Android device juiced up way longer than usual and not have to be a slave to the power outlet. These were supposed to be mobile devices and maybe now you can actually stay mobile with them.

Chronos Calendar for Windows Phone: It’s Amazing

So we’ve been covering a lot of Windows Phone stuff lately here on TechnoBB and today is no different. There has been a lot of controversy about calender apps with mobile devices. Most people just use whatever is built in with their phone and others seem to have a favorite that they wouldn’t change off of no matter what. I have been a die hard of both of those categories and then I was introduced to Chronos Calender. This calendar app is a game changer for sure.

Not only does this calender have a fast load time and everything else you could want on a Windows Phone, but the software is built for the hardware. If you have a Windows Phone you should get Chronos Calendar it’s really as simple as that. Most people use calendar apps to quickly locate dates and store tasks, which are simple enough to do on any calendar app, but with Chronos you do those simple tasks in the easiest way possible. It is fully synced with any other calender you might be using as well which makes installing it and putting it to use far simpler than anything else you could get.

Windows’ newest technology is all based off of their tiled interface and this calendar app makes the most of it at well. It can be customized heavily which is not standard with most Windows Phone apps. Usually it’s kind of a take what you can get kind of thing, but in Chronos Calendar you can choose color, sizing, look and feel.

MessageMe: An Awesome Cross-Platform Messaging App

One of the biggest issues with texting or sending messages across platforms or within groups is the finicky transition from operating system to operating system. If someone is on an iPhone, and others are using Android, the whole situation turns much more complicated than it needs to be. This mess can be resolved with the great new cross platform messaging app called MessageMe. This app is available for not only Android users, but iOS users as well. This means now if everyone gets this app messaging in groups, texting, and sharing pictures can be seamless with the integration of everyone on the same platform.

Not only is this a great, free alternative to texting and messaging numbers that may otherwise be charged, but it can also enable url sharing, walkie talkie function, and even sharing doodles. If there was ever a messaging app that literally everyone should get it would be this one. I can kind of think of this as a universal language of sorts. In the same way someone from Asia would get confused speaking with an American, a user of one mobile platform may have their messages translated incorrectly, but in MessageMe everyone is speaking the same language.

Not only does this make a great messaging app for people to chat with from phone to phone, but it also functions as a messaging app in general to any mobile device like a tablet or app accessible interface. You owe it to yourself and any of your friends to make the transition to MessageMe and simplify and evolve your messaging experience to a place you never knew was possible, especially for free!

Lync 2013 Now Integrated with Windows Phone

If there has been any trend in mobile device apps lately it has been the integration of very large programs and apps into the Windows Phone platform. This just goes to show that the developers of the software must see some promise with investing in the Windows Phone devices. The latest introduction to this trend is with Lync, the communication program. Lync has been growing extensively as a resource for people who are in administrative or office types of roles and need their contacts forwarded and linked to their phone or another computer on the go. Lync is an amazing resource for people who need to know where their coworkers are and when they’re available. It is a priceless link to have your contacts concentrated in such a way that they are divided into groups which allow you to tell availability and the best way to reach them.

The use of this app requires a valid membership to the Lync service in general, so the app itself does not act as an access point to Lync services. I personally have Lync and with the amount of people I have to keep track of on a daily basis it has been incredibly useful to have on my computer. Now that it is available for Windows Phone, having this information available on the go will be a life saver.

The other great service Lync provides is a call forwarding to your preferred number so that no matter where you are you will have access to a phone call from your contacts. Never again be confined to your office to wait for an important call or have the stress of not being right next to a land line making your day less productive. Lync is a great service and coupled with the Windows Phone device app it is a fantastic duo.

Go App Uninstaller: The Best and Easiest All Around App Removal System

Uninstalling apps on Android can be a pain. There are no two ways about it, you’ll have to at one point in time go into whatever user or system settings your phone has and uninstall apps. Whether it’s from the memory on your phone getting low, the battery being drained, or just wanting to de-clutter this is a reality of owning a smartphone. Often times once you go into the interface to uninstall apps you end up realizing you don’t need a bunch of them and have to sit there and uninstall them one by one which is not only a waste of time, but completely unnecessary when there are apps like GO App Uninstaller out there.

There are a few things that set this app uninstaller apart from the rest of the field. First of all it is so easy a child could use, literally. All that it requires is a simple check of a box next to the app you want gone and then to tap “uninstall”. It really could not be much more straight forward to uninstall multiple apps at once. The other aspect about this app that makes it great is that it can also delete ROOT apps that come with your phone, but usually cannot be selected to delete. Often times these apps are huge in size, but if you don’t use them you’re simply out of luck.

The main feature of this app that really makes it amazing is the recycle bin feature. When apps are removed, they are not fully erased immediately which helps significantly with the removal of ROOTed apps. Since these are system apps and folders, sometimes deleting them can cause issues with your phone and the way it works. If this is the case simply go back into the recycle bin in the app and restore the app that caused the malfunction. If there is no malfunction and you wish to completely get rid of the files simply hit “Permanent Delete” and never worry about them again.

This is a simple app, but for the vast majority of people who just want to clear up their system and phone memory it does everything you will need. There are other apps which can give a much more complex and detailed breakdown of app storage and installation but most people will have everything they need and more from GO App Uninstaller.
