How To: Automatically Adjusts Ringer Volume By Assessing Environmental Noise

We all may have been in situations where the ringtones we have chosen bawls loudly especially when the environment is quite, and causes embarrassment followed by a regrettable decision of selecting a tone that should be changed immediately. Often, obviously, we require having a loud tone, so while we perhaps often draw unnecessary attention, it is certainly worth opting for one of the louder settings which never let miss a call. With a great app such as Intelligent Ringer for Android, you can enjoy the most excellent times of both scenarios, as the app makes use of your gadgets mic to sense how noisy your environment is, and then adjusts the ringer volume in accordance to it.

It is such a great idea, and taking into account how ‘smarter’ over Smartphones have turned out to be, it is exceedingly surprising that such a practice is not native to most of the major ecosystems.

XDA-Developers team member soulreaver1has designed this app called as the Intelligent Ringer. It makes attempt to dismiss that element of surprise as a loud incoming call disrupts you, and all those who are around you. By determining the noise levels of your surroundings the Smartphone is in using the camera mic, it regulates the ringer volume as required in quiet environments such as meetings, hospitals and library, and higher when you are in areas like a disco party or anything.

With the app’s settings, users can eagerly adjust the accuracy and sensitivity of the microphone along with the “pocket factor” and minimizing the level of volume. Therefore, opting for a trial and error approach may be needed in order to tweak the aptitude of the Intelligent Ringer app, but once you have been able to fully optimize it, you should be able to keep away from any horrible surprises.

Intelligent Ringer apps runs on all the Android devices supporting operating system Android 2.3 Gingerbread or even higher, and is a completely free download from the Google’s Play Store. If you are an individual who do not prefer missing out an important call being in quieter surroundings, this is the app you can opt for! Get it now be at ease!

Chrome: View Enlarge Facebook Photos Using Magnifier for Facebook

Magnifier Viewer for Facebook happens to be an extension for Chrome enabling users to view enlarged images on Facebook with not even opening them in the Image Viewer. The extension will allow you to zoom into the photo and then disable the theater view in Facebook’s photo viewer. You will be able to easily view the enlarged photo by just moving your mouse over the thumbnail preview, or simply by pressing the right click button and selecting to open the photo into another tab.

As the name of the extension implies, the Magnifier for Facebook will also zoom in on the photo that appears to be larger than that of its actual size, but the magnifying feature can also halt or brought down to a shortcut for further toggling it.

With the extension installed onto your system, photos start appearing in a floating manner to you on a required page, as you will move your cursor over them. As you have your mouse cursor move over the photo, it will start to load instantly as a default feature. This technique has made the extension extremely sensitive and rather aggravating but luckily, you can easily adjust it and several other settings in the options available with the extension.

As the extension is extremely sensitive to the movement of your cursor’s movement, you will see that it obstructs your browsing speed and normally delays the loading of images that you are considering viewing. Thus, the best approach here is to head over the Magnifier for Facebook’s extension options initially and alter the time entered in the ‘Delay’ field to avoid this. You can also add in the effect of fade in or fade out, in case you prefer increasing the time in these particular fields.

Magnifier for Facebook will also enable you to view the caption of the image, but you can easily turn it off by navigating through the settings of the extension. The right click menu can be disabled, along with the theater view. The shortcuts and keys can also let you disable the zooming feature or simply restrict it a specific key pressed down. On the other hand, you can also set the extension to halt the zoom feature when a certain key is pressed. Ensure you save all your changes before you exist the extension’s settings.

The right-click menu offer several options for viewing an enlarged image in a new tab, and can also be downloaded. Keep this in mind that the photo downloads will be in its actual size. The extension may be restricted and in that case it just works for images, but images make up a significant part of the content being shared over Facebook. Apparently, the extension load the images relatively faster compared to the default photo viewer and if you are keen to view images than posting or reading comments, Magnifier for Facebook is what you should be opting for.

Google Keep: Note Taking Web App and Android App Now Available

Everyone comes across that time in their online browsing or daily activities when they just need to make a quick note of something. Usually you forget and don’t write it down and it all seems to be meaningless until that thing you needed to remember comes up. It’s very frustrating and in the world of today with little things to remember around every corner there is finally a good app that can help you do all of these things and more. Google rolled out a new app experience called Keep. This is directly integrated with Google Drive, so users of that service will have everything they make a note of instantly transferred there as well to make sure it goes with you everywhere your mobile devices do.

So what exactly is Google Keep? It’s basically a note taking service, but on steroids. It not only allows you to make notes on anything and everything on the fly, and in an organized way, but it can also have pictures, captions, voice integration and checklists. Personally, I think this performs better for what I need than Evernote. After that huge EverNote security issue, if you’re looking for an alternative then check out Google Keep.

Never forget about your daily activities or things you need to make a quick note of again. The interface is great and natural and takes no time at all to learn. It’s a great option and it will truly help the way you organize your life.

Tabs Outliner: Possibly the Best Tab and Browser Saving Extension Out There

About a week ago I reviewed an extension for Google Chrome that dealt with the concept of saving and exporting tabs from the your browser. That extension left several things to be desired and left me pleased, but not satisfied with the results. It then came to my attention with the help of our great TechnoBB community that there was a far better option for the exact purpose of saving tabs, making notes on tabs, and an all around better experience for internet browsing. This extension is called Tabs Outliner and it basically does anything and everything you would want.

We all have those points in our internet life when the browser is jam packed with tabs. You might have one window open with twenty tabs and another with ten and it just gets out of hand fast. The reality is you most likely don’t actually need all of those tabs open at once and they are literally just draining your computer’s power and resources. This is when a tool like this comes in handy. You can simply save the tabs in the locations they’re in for later, or even save them to send out and access from another device in the future. There is literally no need to keep them all open any more at once unless you’re just a hoarder.

The other great thing about this extension is the idea that you can make notes on the fly about various tabs you have open. People always want to jot things down and in this day and age making hard copy notes on something digital is just antiquated and sloppy. With Tabs Outliner you can make notes and save them to a particular tab. Not only will this help keep you organized, but it will also make the tab noted to be saved by Tabs Outliner when you shut down the browser.

Add to those features one of the best backup and restoration features I’ve ever encountered with an amazing export interface, and you have yourself one amazing tool for maximizing your performance and the performance of your computer. I can’t believe I’ve browsed and used the internet for so long without having a tool like this to help me along.
