Lync 2013 Now Integrated with Windows Phone

If there has been any trend in mobile device apps lately it has been the integration of very large programs and apps into the Windows Phone platform. This just goes to show that the developers of the software must see some promise with investing in the Windows Phone devices. The latest introduction to this trend is with Lync, the communication program. Lync has been growing extensively as a resource for people who are in administrative or office types of roles and need their contacts forwarded and linked to their phone or another computer on the go. Lync is an amazing resource for people who need to know where their coworkers are and when they’re available. It is a priceless link to have your contacts concentrated in such a way that they are divided into groups which allow you to tell availability and the best way to reach them.

The use of this app requires a valid membership to the Lync service in general, so the app itself does not act as an access point to Lync services. I personally have Lync and with the amount of people I have to keep track of on a daily basis it has been incredibly useful to have on my computer. Now that it is available for Windows Phone, having this information available on the go will be a life saver.

The other great service Lync provides is a call forwarding to your preferred number so that no matter where you are you will have access to a phone call from your contacts. Never again be confined to your office to wait for an important call or have the stress of not being right next to a land line making your day less productive. Lync is a great service and coupled with the Windows Phone device app it is a fantastic duo.
