Owners of a Nike+ FuelBand fitness accessory will be happy to know that the unofficial Windows 8 Phone app Fuelboard now supports viewing data on a Windows 8 phone. The Nike+ FuelBand is a small gadget worn on the wrist that can monitor some basic movements to act as a gauge of daily activity and exercise. It can also track calories consumed during the day with included software. The collected data can be used for a wide array of fitness applications from tracking steps, calories, etc. to earning rewards and commendations for reaching fitness goals. Until now, the only apps that support FuelBand were an official one for iOS and an unofficial one for Android.
With Fuelboard, you can now monitor your lifetime, current, and last week’s fitness data. Unfortunately, the app does not communicate directly with the device and you must upload your data from the provided FuelBand software where it is then accessed from the app. The interface is great and there are a range of options to view the data in eye-pleasing charts from categories including Fuel, Calories, and Steps. It’s a very efficient and helpful way to keep tabs on the hard working machine that is your body. Having that visual feedback really reinforces how much you’ve accomplished toward a fitness goal or how much more is left to be done.
Fuelboard is available now for only 99 cents. If you have a Nike+ FuelBand, it is a fantastic accompaniment to view your data on the go on a Windows 8 Phone.
