Mozilla Decided To Stop Firefox 64-bit Development

it’s really heart broken news for peoples who waiting for Firefox 64-bit versions. Mozilla Engineering Manger Benjamin Smedberg has decided to stop development of 64-bit windows version of Firefox. According to Bugzilla development page, Smedberg said that:

“Please stop building windows 64 builds and tests.”

Smedberg already explainined on Mozilla Google groups, they are facing some plugins issue,

“Many plugins are not available in 64-bit versions.”

He added,

“The plugins that are available don’t work correctly in Firefox because we haven’t implemented things like windowproc hooking, which means that hangs are more common.”

we are not sure Mozilla engineer’s will change decision or not, but windows users need to find out some alternative web browser like Opera, Internet Explorer, Chrome for 64-bit Windows.
